National Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation

The National Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation (NDFDC) is a Company wholly owned by Government of India. It functions as an apex institution for the benefit of Persons with Disabilities. Financial assistance is extended by the Corporation at concessional interest rate for starting /augmenting any activity contributing directly or indirectly in the income generation of Persons with Disabilities, thus helping them in their overall process of empowerment. The assistance is extended through the State Channelizing Agencies(SCAs) nominated by the State Government(s)/selected Public Sector Banks (PSBs)/Regional Rural Banks(RRBs) and other organisations with which MoA has been signed by NDFDC for channelizing the funds.

Prominent schemes being implemented by NDFDC are as under:

1.Divyangjan Swavalamban Yojana :-
Financial assistance in terms of loan at concessional rate of interest is provided for the benefit of Persons with Disabilities for starting /augmenting any activity contributing directly or indirectly in the income generation and helping them in their overall process of empowerment.

2.Vishesh Microfinance Yojana (VMY) :-
Under this scheme NDFDC provides prompt and need based finance for the target group and activities at reasonable rate of interest through NBFC-MFI, Section-8-MFI, and NGO-MFI, SHG Federations, state Government Missions and other state level organizations to pursue small/micro business and development activities.
